KAMPUNG JAWA TO BE DEVELOPED

It has been reported that the kampung Jawa area near the Melaka river has been bought by a developer named PB Properties. They intend to develop the area in 2014 into a commercial and residential area facing the river.

With Hatten Group developing the Vedromall at the former Central market site also in 2014, the area at the end of Jalan Kee Ann and Jalan Pasar Baru will see some development. This area has been neglected for the past 25 years and now now investors see the potential here finally.

2014 will be an important year for Melaka New Chinatown near the Melaka river.

We have 29 names as registered attendees so far. If you have not registered at Eventbrite please do so. This will help update our central database. I have another 25+ names from Prince Babansala Ramzy with his contingent. If everybody is really coming we should have at least 50 people for Day 1 & 2.

The people who are coming are from various parts of the world: Indonesia, Cambodia, Pakistan, Sri-Lanka, USA, UK, Canada, Austria, Singapore, India, Hong Kong, Malaysia, China, Ghana, Somalia + African countries.

1. WELCOME TO THE ROYAL PRESS, MALACCA

We are delighted to announce that The Royal Press, Malacca is ready to welcome you.The premises are open to the public from 10-00 am to 6-00 pm daily, from Wednesday to Monday, including weekends. We are closed on Tuesdays.

Our printing press operations will run as usual, from 9-00am to 5-00 pm on weekdays, offering a unique perspective of our printing heritage.

2. GUIDED GROUP TOURS
Students, clubs, associations and special interest groups are especially welcome to join our guided group tours. Each tour lasts about 30 minutes, commencing at the following times:
- 10.30 am
- 12.30 pm
- 02.30 pm
- 04.30 pm

General Admission Prices:
Adult - RM12
Child (12 years & below) - RM6
*Children under 13 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

A new investment by the Hatten Group is going to be built at the end of Jalan Kee Ann. This 7 storey building with 2 basement car parks and 5 storeys of retail space will enhance the value of properties around Jalan Kee Ann.

This multi-million project is located at Lot 427, Jalan Kee Ann,75100 Melaka. Completion of the project is expected to be done by 4th. Quarter of 2016.

OLPC BASECAMP ALONG MELAKA RIVER FROM NOV. 15 to 18th. 2013

A OLPC Base camp is being organised in MELAKA from 15th. to 18th. November 2013. This base camp is to gather people who are passionate about XO tablets for education and to bring XO tablets needy kids. Participants can share their experience. Some visitors and volunteers are coming in from Hong Kong, Singapore, Cambodia and Malaysia.
